Philadelphia Phillies at Cincinnati Reds
W: Hembree (2-3) L: Feliz (0-1)
On a hot and humid night at the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, the Reds gave fans a lot to move around about especially in the late innings of their come from behind victory last night winning 12-4. This game was postponed due to bad weather from June 2nd, it was moved to June 28th. It became a very close and competitive game until the Reds broke open in the 8th inning. This was a fun one to go too, and let's get right into it!
1st Inning: Reds pitcher Wade Miley, would eventually get into a little bit of trouble early due to a Obdubel Herrera double, a fly out by Rhys Hoskins and Andrew Mccutchen walk which would set up first and third one out. Bryce Harper would ground into a fielder's choice in which Herrera would get thrown out at home and then Alec Bohm grounded out in which Miley would escape trouble in the first.
3rd Inning: (Reds Lead 2-0) Phillies pitcher Spencer Howard was smooth sailing through the first two innings, Unfortunately, in this inning Wade Miley was walked, Jesse Winker doubled and Nick Castellanos would start his career night with a two run single to get the scoring started in Cincinnati.

4th Inning: (Tied 2-2) Miley got into a pickle early in the fourth giving up a single to Harper. Following at bat, was a run-scoring double by Alec Bohm. Ronald Torreyes would have an RBI fielder's choice to tie the game.
5th Inning: (Phillies Lead 4-2) Miley would also struggle in the fifth inning as Alec Bohm and Ronald Torreyes picked up their second RBI’s of the game in as many innings to give the fight in Phillies the lead.
7th Inning: (Reds Lead 6-4) The turning point came in the 7th inning when the Reds put all the chips on the table which included 3 pinch hitters. Alejo Lopez, on the first pitch he has ever seen in the MLB, had a single to get the train rolling. Aristides Aquino walked and Jonathan India struck out. With two outs in the inning and the leading run at the plate, Jesse Winker would hit with a pitch on a 1-2 count. That would bring Nick Castellanos up, who hit his 5th grand slam of his career, that would go on to be the game winning hit of the evening. This would be Castellanos’ 6th RBI to this point and he wasn’t finished yet.
8th Inning: (Reds Lead 12-4) Cincinnati really broke this one open in the 8th inning where they put up 6 runs. Eugenio Suarez would start the inning with a walk followed by a Tyler Stephenson single. Kyle Framer would lay down a sacrifice bunt that Enyel De Los Santos would throw away. This would score two runs including Stephenson all the way from first base. Jonathan India singled and was plated home by who else? Nick Castellanos. Nick would hit a double down the line for his career high 7th RBI of the night. Joey Votto would put the icing on the cake with a home run to right center field to cap off the inning.
9th Inning: Josh Osich came in for Cincinnati and pitched a 1-2-3 inning to seal the deal for the Reds.
